COVID-19 Patient Trials

ASCOT plans to recruit patients in 12 New Zealand hospitals, and more than 70 across Australia. They are testing the safety and efficacy of two drugs: lopinavir/ritonavir, which is currently used to treat HIV, and hydroxychloroquine, used to treat arthritis and prevent and treat malaria.
