More Signatures Needed for Global Seabed Mining Campaign

Sept. 9, 2021, 4:14 p.m.

James Hita (Ngāti Whātua) says that the main focus at the moment for Greenpeace Aotearoa is to amplify the voices of the people and so NO to seabed mining not only in Aotearoa but around the world. Also wanting to get the New Zealand government to set a clear position calling for a band of all seabed mining. Around twenty thousand people have already signed the petition but need as many as possible. Also a call for our people to speak about the issues as people power can really shift the way governments make decisions.
