Piripi Evans - He Rangatira Kaumoana

Sept. 16, 2021, 1:18 p.m.

Stanley Conrad shares his connection with Piripi regarding the revitalisation of waka creation and navigation. Piripi was one of those few who started the journey in the early 1990's by building the waka Aurere and learning the navigation skills under the guidance of Tā Hekenukumai Puhipi. Sadly unable to return for his tangi due to Covid restrictions in Tāmaki Makaurau, Stanley also delivers a poroporoaki to Matua Piripi.
