Brad Windust works to protect the forests of the north and has been focusing on pest control around Waitangi. During last year's lockdown, all of the pest control had to come to a holt resulting in a reinvasion of rats and weasels in the forest. Forest and Bird fought to continue work during this last lockdown to avoid another impact like this occurring again, especially at this time when the kuaka, pīpīwharauroa and tūī are making nests and breeding.
