New Bowel Screening Programme in Te Taitokerau
Stuart Selkirk and Matua Hohepa Stephens are part of the team who are promoting the new bowel screening programme here in Kaitaia that launches on the 2nd November at Kaitaia Hospital.
You will receive an invitation in the mail on or around your birthday every two years for you to provide a sample that can sent away to Tāmaki Makaurau for testing. Matua Hohepa is a kaitakawaenga for the programme and has already lost a brother and a sister to bowel cancer, which has been a reason for him to tautoko the kaupapa and encourage whānau to get checked.
