Te Uru Rākau Update

Oct. 7, 2021, 1:33 p.m.

Waitai Petera gives an update on the major projects undertaken by Te Uru Rākau, which is the New Zealand Forest Service tasked with the job to support forest priorities including Māori land development and the 1 Billion Trees kaupapa. A lot has been achieved, but the opportunity is still there for those to apply to join the kaupapa. Ngāti Hine, Ngāti Rēhia and Ngāti Kahu ki Whangaroa are onboard, and are only a few based in Te Tai Tokerau. The pandemic has provided its challenges as to be expected, however the work continues.
