Covid Wānanga for Whananaki
When Ngāti Wai Trust Board were out providing assistance for the whānau of Ngāti Wai during the most recent lockdown, it was brought to their attention that Whananaki had a significantly low vaccination rate. Aunty Kathy Caldwell (a trustee of Ngāti Wai Trust Board) and others from Ngāti Wai looked into the matter and decided to host a wānanga with a host of kaikōrero of different backgrounds, while offering vaccinations at the same time.
This event is scheduled for this Saturday 16 October and despite the current Alert Level 3 for Te Tai Tokerau, the kaupapa will proceed but as a drive-through.
