Upcoming He Whakaputanga Hīkoi

Oct. 20, 2021, 1:45 p.m.

In acknowledgement of the Whakaputanga and our tūpuna of the 28th Māori Battalion a hīkoi will take place in Kaitaia starting at Te Ahu with karakia and the raising of the Whakaputanga flag on 28 October. Bundy Waitai talks about those tūpuna who passed on the knowledge to him and why it is important for our future generations to learn the history and articles of He Whakaputanga.

For anyone who can not attend the hīkoi you are able to take a photo of you flying the Whakaputanga flag and post it to www.govt.maori.nz
