Oct. 22, 2021, 1:29 p.m.

A lack of water storage has long been an issue for Te Tai Tokerau. Dover Samuels talks to us about how the Te Tai Tokerau Water Trust was created in mid 2020 to initiate water storage and distribution schemes in the Mid North and Kaipara areas. These area were identified as having high quality soils which are potential for horticulture. Samuels is a Trustee and also touches the droughts experienced in recent years and how this scheme will provide infrastructure to develop hectares of horticulture.
