After the immense popularity of the reo Māori version for the Disney movie Moana, it was announced in mid-2021 that Disney will be dubbing two more popular classics in te reo Māori.
Auditions are now open for the reo Māori version of the classic movie The Lion King. Leading the production is Tweedie Waititi and Chelsea Winstanley. We speak to Tweedie who shares what they're looking for, how our whānau can enter and that there will be 5 dialects used in the movie including Te Tai Tokerau, so they are encouraging everyone to give it a go.
