We All Have A Role To Play

Nov. 25, 2021, 1:16 p.m.

To limit children’s exposure to second-hand smoke, it will be illegal from 28 November to smoke and vape in a vehicle that has children and young people (under 18years old) in it - whether the vehicle is moving or not. Debra Jensen, General Manager Communications for Te Hiringa Hauora Health Promotion Agency gives some background on the move towards driving smokefree and this new law. Jensen makes a point that we all have a roll to play in the move towards driving smokefree and that we should also be considerate of tamariki when smoking not only in our vehicles.
