The kaupapa of a peaceful protest was set from the start for the noho whenua at Maheatai in Taipa. Janelle Popata updates us on the recent events at Maheatai which includes wānanga and a mini market (supported by many whānau looking to support the noho whenua and return of the land to Ngāti Kahu). The weekend was filled with fun, positive kaupapa and Janelle also tells us that Theresa Reihana and Billy Harrison are starting work on a number of pou carved and gifted to the kaupapa.
