After fires burning for 6 weeks during the occupation at Maheatai, Taipa the many hapū of Ngāti Kahu welcomed both Minister of Treaty Settlements Andrew Little and Minister of Māori-Crown Relations Kelvin Davis on to the whenua anxious to hear some good news for Ngāti Kahu. Wikatana Popata who lead this noho whenua talks to us about the kaupapa and about Minister Little who confidently stood before all in attendance to confirm the purchase of the land in the interest of Ngāti Kahu.
