Te Tai Tokerau were recently in Alert Level 2, however since the move to the new protection framework of the Traffic Light System we are now in the Red Light. Tūmamao Harawira joins us and raises the question, has Te Tai Tokerau gone backwards? Tūmamao further explains how Tāmaki Makaurau has been in Alert Level 3, however restrictions on businesses that have been closed for a while have now opened again to the public sector as allowed under the new system. The obvious difference is the fact that a 90% double vaccination rate has been achieved in Tāmaki and Te Tai Tokerau sit around 70% vaccination rate for the double jab.
