Scheduled to open this weekend is the new Kaitaia Pump Track located close to the Kaitaia pools at Memorial Park. Andrea Panther of Kaitaia Business Association (KBA) gives us a rundown of the details for the opening as well as a brief on some of the future plans set to take place in 2022. Andrea explains that there has been some changes to the opening as Te Tai Tokerau is currently under the Red Light of the new COVID-19 Protection Framework (traffic light system). With the restriction on numbers allowed to attend an event like this, Andrea says that it will be more of a virtual ceremony that can be seen on Facebook. The pump track is just like the one in Ahipara, but bigger and better.
