Data To Help Enable By Māori, For Māori

Waikato DHB have been pushing to increase the vaccination rate among the Māori and Pasifika communities within the Waikato District. Tamati Peni joins us again to give an update on the progress of the vaccination rates and a responds to Whānau Ora winning the case before the High Court to gain access to Māori data from the Ministry of Health. Tamati fully supports the idea of by Māori for Māori kaupapa while being open to exploring all avenues available that can help us take care of our whānau. Tamati mentions that another kaupapa within Waikato is the Super Māori Vax Weekend which is the second weekend like this which is dedicated to increasing the Māori vaccination rate. This kaupapa is about Māori encouraging Māori to take up the challenge and get vaccinated.
