NZ Defence Priorities and Principles

Minister of Defence Peeni Henare released earlier this week the new Defence Priorities and Principles for The New Zealand Defence Force. The priorities have been set to guide the Defence through an ongoing Covid-19 environment focusing on people, infrastructure and the Pacific. Minister Henare talks about the changing times and need to review before explaining the new principles Angitu, Kotahitanga, Mana and Pono, Kaitiakitanga. Minister Henare also talks about ensuring the Defence is prepared for whatever circumstances whether here in Aotearoa or abroad and that the principles and priorities are to ensure the Defence not only have the ability to do the work but do it well.
