Borders Now Open and Alert Levels Set

Dec. 15, 2021, 12:23 p.m.

Thousands are gearing up to escape Tāmaki Makaurau as of 12am this morning the borders have opened for the first time in over one hundred days allowing those living in Tāmaki to travel abroad as long as you can show that you have been double vaccinated and have had a negative test within 72hours prior to departure. Tūmamao Harawira gives us an update on the borders and the alert levels throughout Aotearoa confirming that the whole country will move to alert light orange by the end of the month except for Te Tai Tokerau who will remain in the red, due to such a low vaccination rate.
