Taitamariki Wānanga: Learning How To Capture Our World

Jan. 18, 2022, 2:33 p.m.

A two day wānanga held in Kaeo and the wider Whangaroa area for taitamariki aged 12 to 17 to learn the world of photography. Joining us to talk about the kaupapa is Te Rawhitiroa Bosch, who is a well known photographer in the Māori world and was the kaiako sharing his knowledge. Approximately 15 taitamariki of Te Tai Tokerau were part of the wānanga and Te Rawhitiroa made mention that there was a high interest from everyone involved. This particular kaupapa was actually organised by the one of the taiohi, who were involved in the wānanga as part of the many initiatives the the taitamariki from Whangaroa and Ngāti Kahu area will be rolling out in 2022.
