In recent years, Te Tai Tokerau has seen new developments throughout the rohe whānui including 33 marae renovations of which 19 have now been completed. Shane Jones who was previously the Minister for Economic and Regional Development during his time in Parliament, talks to us about his attendance at the opening of Puketawa Marae located in Utakura, Hokianga that has recently become the 500th regional economic development project completed with Crown investment from the PGF and other funds. Shane Jones shares more about what renovations on Puketawa Marae were achieved with the funding followed by a response to whether he will stand for parliament again.
