Omicron Outbreak Spreading Throughout Aotearoa

Feb. 16, 2022, 1:41 p.m.

Professor Makere Mutu joins us from Tāmaki Makaurau to give an update on the Ngāti Kahu mobile vaccination centres out in Karikari and Taipa. Professor Mutu begins with an update on her time in Tāmaki Makaurau during these times of public outbreaks throughout Aotearoa. Tāmaki has the most daily positive cases, which is why she is yet to come home to Te Hiku despite the intense yearning to come home. The vaccination rate achieved by Ngāti Kahu mobile vaccination centres in Karikari and Taipa has reached over 100 on one weekend and Makere also adds that even non-Māori had contributed to these numbers.
