Penetaui Kleskovic, kaikōrero for Te Rūnanga Nui o Te Aupōuri shares some of the details around the tragic boating accident off the North Cape. There were 10 onboard The Enchanter charter before they had run into some torrential weather on their way back north to The Three Kings when the boat sank. Five had been rescued with four bodies retrieved during the search and one remains missing. Penetaui also says himself along with iwi rangatira of Te Hiku Winiata Brown, Heta Conrad & Robert Kākā had put a rāhui in place from Tohoraha back up to Cape Reinga also known as Te Rerenga Wairua. The duration of the rāhui is yet to be confirmed as there is one person still missing.
