Tamaki hit their peak in Omicron cases at the beginning of March as other DHBs hit their peak around 2 weeks later.
According to Dr Taonui, DHBs in Te Waipounamu are only just reaching their climax of cases and it's important to understand that the tail of Omicron will last for at least another 3-4months.
