Ngāpuhi, Te Kiingitanga and te iwi Māori has welcomed the Governor-General to Waitangi. Harata Brown says the decision to have iwi from across the motu to pōwhiri the Queen's representative on to the marae was to depict the nature of Te Whare Rūnanga and showcase it's tikanga - a marae for all.
