Sept. 15, 2022, 12:36 p.m.

As the Secondary Schools Kapa Haka Nationals takes over Tāmaki, we are reminded of the beauty within Kapa Haka that brings to life our pūrakau, our kōrero and our reo. Paora Sharples highlights the unique part that Kapa Haka played in the revitalization of te reo Māori. "Fifty years of Te Matatini, fifty years of te reo Māori. They go hand in hand" says Sharples as he expresses his aroha for both these taonga.
