Te Hiku Media supported Ngāti Kahungunu to bring to life the livestream of the National Language Revitalisation Symposium held in Kahungunu. Peter-Lucas Jones (Ngai Takoto, Muriwhenua) says "Over twenty speakers took the stage including many from Te Hiku o te Ika."

Kaikōrero from Te Hiku o te Ika, Hilda Halkyard-Harawira (Muriwhenua), spoke about the claims and roopu that grew out of the desire to revitalise te reo accompanied by co-speaker Mereana Pitman (Wairoa). He also touches on all the kaupapa that range from Wai11 to online podcast such as "Te Nutube."

This highlights the journey te reo has taken over many years to become a thriving, prominent language.
