Te Papa Tongarewa is showcases "He Kaupapa Waka" which is a collective of photographs and waka. Te Rawhitiroa Bosch (Te Rarawa) says "the first part of the exhibition is the carved waka" stating that these waka being showcased were of the last lot of waka worked on by Hekenukumai Busby, Heemi Eruera and Billy Harrison. He says this is the most exciting exhibition he has been a part of and the beauty of the kaupapa made it more special.
