Bringing Mātauranga Māori to Rugby

Rugby is a religion for many and intertwining that kind of aroha into purpose is what drives them to become the best they can be. Mike Te Wake (Te Rarawa) says this year the Taniwha squad went to marae and had wānanga about the taniwha and used mātauranga Māori to understand the meaning behind it and what hononga it has to them as people, as players and as a team.
