Naida Glavish has been regarded as a leader for te reo Maori and tikanga Maori for many years, not only for Te Taitokerau but also nationally. Recently she stood down from her role of President of the Maori Party. She is an advocate for Maori helath and well-being for whanau. She is also Chairperson of He Korowai Trust, the kaitaia based Charity is regarded as a housing solution leader.
