Speed Limit Change for SH10

Kathleen O'Hare with the support of Karepōnia Marae started a campaign to have the speed limit lowered between Awanui and Kaingaroa, State Highway 10, following a terrible accident in Karepōnia where a car had clipped a child. Last month was a sentiment to the need to have a reduced speed limit in the settlement following a second incident involving another young child of the same whānau.
