Matthew Tukaki shares the many losses that will come with the cancellation of Foodstuffs contract with Sealord (a majority Māori owned fisheries company). This contract is where the quota comes from and money comes into fund iwi and hapū organisations throughout the country.
Matthew also shares that although Foodstuffs takes pride in being a NZ owned company, 25 percent of products are imported from overseas (from places like China).
Foodstuffs are the co-operative New World, PAK'nSAVE and Four Square stores belong.
