Jerry Norman says those who are entering tertiary education from Kura Kaupapa Māori and Kura Māori are successful in higher education and encourages more to follow that path to educational success. Norman says there is a generation coming through that are deeply connected to their people and have a strong understanding of the world and believes that it is this generation that are a representation of a shift in society. how students who are connected to their culture tend to do well in higher education
