Cyclists from around New Zealand will begin their journey from Te Rerenga Wairua this Thursday the 10th of Novermber at 5am in an effort to raise money that will go towards Beyond Water, an non-profit organisation on a humanitarian mission to provide safer drinking water as well as building better functioning toilet facilities for schools in most areas across Eastern Africa. Pedal For Poverty 2022 will spend four weeks on the road, cycling from Te Rerenga Wairua (Cape Reinga) and finishing up in Wellington. Jerry Norman (Ngāti Kuri) will be there to assist cyclists during their first leg of the trip.
