The Therapeutic Products Bill A Great Threat To Rongoā Māori

Rongoā practitioner Tohe Ashby of Ngāti Hine strongly opposes The Therapeutic Products Bill. The proposed changes in the bill will focus mainly on the safety and quality of natural health products and that any health benefit claims must be supported by either scientific or traditional evidence; however, rongoā Māori practitioner Tohe Ashby says that this is where the threat lies for rongoā Māori practitioners, who for centuries, have practiced the art of creating rongoā Māori safely and naturally.
