Improving The Written Reo In Next Census

March 16, 2023, 3:59 p.m.

Census Te Taitokerau spokesperson Raniera Kaio will address the written reo used in Census forms after the issue was raised by Panguru kuia, Hinerangi Puru, who struggled to understand the written reo used in this year's Census, causing a delay in the completion process. Kaio has expressed that there is room for improvement where all reo dialects should be included in Census.
