Dr Lance O'Sullivan has been campaigning for change in the health sector to improve health outcomes for Māori and those he feels have been under-served for generations. His newly established clinic "Mai Health" in Kaitaia brings together his experience and the values he believes will make a difference.
O'Sullivan has returned to Kaitaia with renewed energy to make positive change. During the COVID-19 lockdown, O'Sullivan was vocal about what he perceived to be failures in the delivery of testing and the community's response to lockdown measures.
