Leadership Academy of Upcoming Rangatira

The A Company Leadership Academy held it's10th intake ceremony at Waitangi on the 80th Anniversary of the 28th Māori Battalion march on Waitangi.

This years intake is named after Major Rawson Wright the first intake being named after Sir James Henare Commander of the 28th Māori Battalion who led the battalion home from the 2nd World War. 

The Rawson Wright cadets are made up of students from Te Kāpehu Whetū, TKKM o Rāwhitiroa and TKKM o Taumarere where previous years the academy was open to 6 secondary kura of Whangārei before Te Kāpehu Whetū opened in 2015 then all cadets came from this kura.
