Kia Tioro Te Reo O Ngāti Wai

Oct. 14, 2022, 5:31 p.m.

Last week, the Ngāti Wai trust board organised a 2-day holiday program for tamariki and whānau to learn waiata, maurākau, yoga, and boxing and invited hauora providers to offer health checks to whānau. It was a time for Whanau to come together have fun and celebrate Ngatiwai tanga.

It didn't matter which marae you whakapapa to, it was about sharing the things that they had in common and strengthening those connections.

With such a wide variety of activities on offer, fun was had by all who attended and because of the success of the event, it was the start of more for the future.
