Popokatea (whitehead) return to Bream Head

15 years ago the Bream Head conservation Trust began a habitat restoration programme, which includes the translocation of rare birds back into the area. Most recently was the release of 100 popokatea (whitehead), which have been regionally extinct for close to 140 years.
