Making A Change For Our Mokopuna

The Whakawhetū Mokopuna Ora Symposium that was held in Waitangi saw many health professionals from all over Aotearoa come together to share kōrero about Māori Health, SUDI prevention and ways to make change for our tamariki and mokopuna. Aotearoa has one of the highest rates of unintentional infant deaths in the developed world. Māori babies are 5 times as high as that among non-Māori. According to recent research, the number of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and SUDI (Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy) have dropped significantly but, is that enough?
