Nurturing Our Young Talent

The Finalists of Far Norths Got Talent  drew a crowd that filled Kaitaia's Te Ahu Centre to capacity. The event was held on August 26. In Micah Tawhara explained to Te Hiku Media the benefit of kaupapa like Far North's Got Talent, and how pathways like this provide opportunity to nuture the talents of the regions young people. The talent quest had a junior and senior section. The winner of the junior section was Kapowairua Waitai. The senior section was won by Taipa Area School's Bowen Matthews and Marama McCloud. The event was supported by whanau members who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make thing happen.
