Ballin With The Po-po

Dec. 22, 2017, 2:32 p.m.

School Community Officer Mario Kake was one of 8 Police participants involved in a rangatahi fun day hosted by Ngati Hine Health Trust's Family Start team at ASB Stadium.

This was an opportunity to interact in a non-confrontational, relaxed environment whilst promoting health amongst young people through Basketball & Mau Rakau demonstrations.

Mario states 'local Police want to engage in positive interaction with youth and prevent issues now before they develop'.

He advises rangatahi to adhere to the advice of their elders and instill those good qualities in themselves.

Finally, he encourages the rangatahi of today to come forward and speak to the Police if they are feeling lost or in need of help.
