This year's Waitangi had a positive, relaxed vibe highlighted by people from all walks of life enjoing the Waitangi Day celebrations. Waitangi means many things to different people, but one thing it means to all of us is a time to reflect on New Zealand's past and look forward to a better future for our people.
If you've never been to Waitangi before, meet some of the regulars who highlight what you should do and what you shouldn't do. Definitely get a kai, go for a swim, watch the waka and the haka, and enjoy yourself.
Don't forget to bring sunscreen and cash!
