A like-minded team of tidy kiwis are cleaning up Whangarei, one spot at a time.
Held once a month, usually on a weekend, a dedicated team of volunteers from different organisations and the community get together to pick up rubbish from the streets and bushes of Whangarei.
The Whangarei branch of the Green Party has organised this event with the help of others in the community.
Karen and Nicholas, two of the organisers, talk about the details of the events. They also speak with conviction on why it’s important we as a wider community, stop watching and start helping.
Kiwi Norths School Holiday Programme is both educational and fun for all involved.
