Far North's Richest Catch

The '90 Mile Beach Snapper Bonanza' is arguably the largest Surf-Cast fishing competition in the world and is continuing to grow every year. This years prize pool of $72,500 in cash and $150,000 worth of spot prizes including a $50,000 truck has contributed to a record sellout of it's 1000 ticket entries.

With this competition being spread out over 5 days the impact on the Far North region has been calculated to bring 1.9 million dollars to the local economy. Contestants are travelling from as far as the UK to compete in the Far North's richest catch.
