Soul Food What's Cooking

June 13, 2018, 11:58 a.m.

Soul Food has been feeding the homeless and hungry in Whangarei for almost 5 years.
A group of nine people had an idea to do good in their community, and while that group has changed, grown, and developed - one thing has stayed the same, the passion for positive change.
An original founder and volunteer, Rochelle Hedges, talks about how it all started, what they offer, and where they are now.
Seeing roughly 40-60 people a night, twice weekly, there's obviously a need for the group and Rochelle and her volunteers are happy to help. Soul Food What's Cooking isn’t funded and constantly needs support, you can get in touch through their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Soulfoodwhangarei
