Māori Tourism In Whangārei

July 18, 2018, 9:44 a.m.

The brand new Whangārei Cultural Visitor Guide has been designed to engage with tourists and people visiting Whangārei. The brochure was launched during an intimate night at Terenga Paraoa Marae. The guide has been created by a collective of partners to share joint marketing of the area. The cultural tourisim guide tells the story of Reitu and Reipae, guiding the visitors through the story of Northland.

Toursim is worth $1.1 Billion to our economy in Northland. This was highlightied by the attendance of Whangārei Mayor Sheryl Mai and Minister of Tourism, Kelvin Davis. The evening was a great success and the future of cultural tourisim in the North is bright.
