Te Ara Whanui

Sept. 5, 2015, 4:51 p.m.

Te Ara Whanui competed in the 2006 Kapa Haka Nations held at Mystery Creek Stadium in the Hamilton area and then on to the 2008 Kapa Haka Nationals in Wellington. Te Ara Whanui or Northland College is based in Kaikohe, a school with a long proud tradition and which is now undergoing a renaissance. Their students are deeply connected to their tupuna, marae and whenua and truly represent the spirit of living in ‘Te Pu o Te Wheke’, the ‘Heart of Ngapuhi’.
In 2015 Northland College gets a full re-build and this will represent more than just a physical rebirth of the school. Northand College is putting their focus is to constantly improve the level of our students’ success and the changing teaching pedagogy that sits behind that
