Ending Perpetual Land Leases On Māori Owned Land

Feb. 10, 2023, 6:43 p.m.

The Green Party calls on the New Zealand Government to end the perpetual lease on Māori Land. Supporting the call is Green Party member Marama Davidson who agreed to sit down with our Waitangi Day Broadcast host Peter-Lucas Jones and discuss a way forward for Māori.

Davidson believes that preserving the rights of Māori when it comes to land ownership starts here, calling on more Māori to run for candidacy in the Green Party to increase the chances of ending perpetual Māori land leases in Aotearoa.
