Over the past 30 years Te Reo Irirnagi o Te Hiku o Te Ika, Te Hiku Media, have collected thousands of hours of native speaker kōrero. We want to make these taonga more accessible to our people and anyone learning te reo Māori. In order to do this, we as seeking the help of machines. By training machines to transcribe native speaker audio archives, we can unlock an enourmous potential of lanaugae resources that will help accellerate the revitalisation of te reo māori.
